I am married to the most beautiful person in the world. She also happens to be my best friend. I have a son, Evan, he is the best little buddy ever. I currently attend Cornerstone University as a part of their ministry leadership program.
My journey has taken me from a life of anger and self pity to a life full of hope and renewel. I have experienced the loss of my older Brother an my Mom all in about the course of a year, starting in 2007 with my brother. In the middle of this at the age of 25 I had back surgery, something that would result in me slipping into deeper depression and anger. In the fall of 2008 I was finally strong enough to let go. I had to let go of myself and my control so Jesus Christ could finally have what He deserves, my cooperation. Since I learned how to listen to Jesus my life has been something worth living for. I learned how to be a leader in my family, a loving husband, and a father. God put some people in my life that made this journey a little easier for me. Chris, Ken, Howard, Tom, and Joe asked me to run with them on saturday mornings. Little did I know this would turn into a 200 mile relay race, multiple 5k races (I broke my 20 min. goal on my Mom's one year of passing with a 19:39 time), and my first full marathon in September of 2009. That's where the idea for running from Ann Arbor was born.
T-shirts and brochures, how exciting! I would be happy to help get information out and wear a T-shirt around.
ReplyDeleteHope you are experiencing healing as you count down the training time...
