It was really cool to get out this morning. There is just something about the rain that I love, maybe it's the cleansing of the Earth. I didn't want to go but knowing that I wasn't going to be alone really helped. I'd rather have company and run too fast (Chris a.k.a. The RoadRunner) than be alone.
Surgery is this Thursday so I will be out for Saturday morning runs for a while. And so begins the 4-6 week recovery...well, after a night in the Hospital with all the Ice Cream I can eat. That reminds me of Forrest Gump.
I'll be back! See you all in a few weeks. I'll update on the recovery.

Today was great. For one, I was able to run with Steve, Howard, and Joe. By the way, for being 50, these guys can move-except for Steve, he's a young 30 (wink wink). For 30, he has given me inspiration to keep going. He has been training hard, and it shows. Good luck at the River Bank! The run today was full of complaints from me, but I decided to cut it short and run home. On my way, I realized a couple things; one day I will be in a wheel chair and will wish I could run, so I should do it while I can, and these old guys might need me to push them up the big hill on the m-6 trail. As it turns out, I watched Howard and Joe blaze a trail while Steve and I finished together. It was a nice run, and I can't wait until the next saturday morning at Kava House.

I went to Florida with my family over spring break and had a chance to run in actual sunshine. It was around a huge park with a lake (pond) i'm not sure which, but it was beautiful anyway. The trail was surrounded by Palm Trees, and at one point I even ran barefoot, not so sure that was a good idea but it felt right at the time.
